11 arrested

ELEVEN people were arrested for their roles in a deadly mine accident that killed 22 people in North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, authorities said yesterday.

Drug trafficking

POLICE in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region busted a cross-border drug gang, with more than 25.7 kg of heroin seized, regional police department announced.

A total of 20 suspects were seized in the joint-operation of police from Guangxi and Yunnan Province.

In May 2018, a drug gang in the city of Liuzhou caught the attention of local police. Investigation showed that the gang was connected with a bigger drug dealing network.

Pain relief

THE country will promote pain relief methods during labor and delivery at over 900 pilot hospitals, with the list to be released soon, according to the National Health Commission (NHS) yesterday.
