Two children’s plays in town
    2019-04-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

‘TuYo’

A girl and a boy meet, they have the first kiss of their lives, they grow up, fall in love, get married and... do they live happily ever after? Children’s play “TuYo” by Teatro Plus from Spain is a clown show that treats the relations between two persons since their childhood until their last dance, a tango. Without words, the show implicates the audience to be the witness of their love, their happiness, their dreams, as well as their problems and disappointments. Teatro Plus has had performances in a lot of festivals in Spain, Russia, Slovenia, China, Serbia, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.

Time: 10:30 a.m., 3 p.m., April 5

Tickets: 100 yuan

Venue: Longgang Cultural Center, Longxiang Boulevard, Longgang District (龙岗区龙翔大道龙岗文化中心)

Metro: Line 3 to Longcheng Square Station (龙城广场站), Exit D

‘All Aboard’

Follow a toy locomotive as it travels through sublime worlds created on stage and finally journeys its way through the entire audience. This skilled and delightfully profound parody of the human condition explores the whole wide circle of life and death, wisdom and ignorance, laughter and tears.

An interactive parable turning fantasy into reality and blurring the boundaries between observer and performer, “All Aboard” is based on Swiss actor Oskar’s 18 years as an itinerant artist waiting for trains to unknown destinations and going boarding them.

Transporting the public from passive viewer into dynamic accomplice, Oskar takes the audience on a poetic and hilarious voyage into the great unknown. “All Aboard” draws a sublimely comic parallel between the joy and despair of train journeys and life itself.

Oskar captivates his audience leading them to a world where life and comedy become one. Developed over 29 years as a solo act, in the clown duo Oskar & Strudel or in one of his group productions, his unique interactive comedy style, range of physical skills and vast experience allow him to adapt to the nature of any audience, anywhere.
