    2019-04-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Pianist Hu Ching-yun will play three pieces from Alkan’s “12 Etudes in All the Major Keys, Op. 35,” Albeniz’s “Iberia” and Chopin’s “Piano Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, Op. 58.”

Hu studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany.

Following the Rubinstein competition, she won the 2009 Concert Artists Guild International Competition in New York, and signed a contract under CAG Artist Management. In the following seasons, she performed in many prestigious concerts around the world, including her debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill’s Recital Hall, her orchestra debut in Sao Paulo, across Europe at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and Munich’s Gasteig, and gave a 10-concert tour in Africa.

Her Yun-Hsiang International Music Festival aims to promote classical music in Taiwan and help bridge a connection between world-class musicians and young talents in Taiwan, by giving young artists opportunities to study and perform alongside great masters.
