AFTER a brief return, Dave Bautista is looking to take a break from wrestling, this time for good. The wrestler-turned-actor, who famously plays Drax the Destroyer in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” announced his retirement from sport entertainment Monday after losing to Triple H at WrestleMania, where he returned with much fanfare after five years away from the ring. Bautista, who left WWE for Hollywood, also starred in “Avengers: Infinity War” and featured as Sapper in “Bladerunner 2049.” Bautista’s retirement will leave him free to concentrate on his emerging career in Hollywood. His upcoming projects include “Avengers: Endgame” (April 24) and “Stuber” (July 11). Last week, film news site Deadline reported that Bautista will star in the Zack Snyder-directed zombie film, “Army of the Dead.” (SD-Agencies) |
