NAVAL PARADE MARKS CHINESE NAVY’S 70TH ANNIVERSARY

President and Central Military Commission Chairman Xi Jinping reviews the honor guards of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy before boarding the destroyer Xining for the naval parade celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the navy in Qingdao, Shandong Province, yesterday. Xi reviewed the PLA Navy vessel fleet, aircraft echelon and visiting foreign vessel fleet in the parade, which is part of the four-day multinational naval events that also feature high-level seminars and cultural and sports exchanges.   (Story on P4)Xinhua
