Lan Gallery

Eleven artists are exhibiting their sculptures, installations, paintings and photographic works at the “Lilting Refrain, Poetic Dreaming” exhibition. Entry is free. The artists are Alec von Bargen, Barbara Edelstein, Joy Brown, Ingrid Ledent, Jorge Mayet, Martin Burguillo, Martin Wehmer, Max Huckle, Michael Cartwright, Ryuta Suzuki and Toru Harada.

Dates: Until May 12

Gachapon

Hundreds of capsule-vending machines are now waiting for you to try your luck as Eslite Spectrum Shenzhen is holding a gachapon event on its fourth floor. The gachapon toys are licensed from popular characters in Marvel, Disney and Japanese manga. Each gachapon costs between 20 yuan and 40 yuan and players should buy tokens at the store before using the machines.

Wei Yuanbo’s paintings

More than 200 traditional Chinese paintings by Wei Yuanbo (1925-2015) are on display. Entry is free. Wei, a native of Anqing City, Anhui Province, had solid foundation in traditional Chinese painting techniques owing to the guidance of his teachers Li Keran, Li Xiongcai, Fu Baoshi, Pan Tianshou and other masters.

‘Beat On’

“Beat On,” an exhibition reviewing the glorious time of British rock band The Beatles, is being held at the MixC at Shenzhen Bay. Old photos, news coverage and installations of iconic places are featured at the exhibition.

Dates: Until July 7
