Shows at Hou Live this weekend
    2019-04-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Jade Eyes

Founded in 2014, Taiwanese band Jade Eyes makes its audience dive into its music fantasy with synthesizer sounds and electronic beats. After releasing a six-track EP, Jade Eyes regrouped and joined indie label Black Market Music Production. In 2017, Jade Eyes washed away the retro tones, bringing much more of the neo soul, deep house and downtempo genres into its first full-length album “Addict,” giving the album a more psychedelic yet modern touch. Jade Eyes’ music has been able to carry magnificent emotions with just a few words.

Cao Fang

Pop singer Cao Fang’s music style has drawn comparisons to The Cranberries and Faye Wong. Some of her songs show the influence of hip hop, bossa nova, and the music of her hometown, Yunnan. Cao moved to Beijing in 2002, where she began working as an assistant at musician Xiao Ke’s label. Soon thereafter she signed to the label and released her first CD “Black Perfume” in 2003. Her second album “Meet Me” was released in 2005, winning several awards. Her five-track EP, “Farther Than the Sky,” was released on her own label in late 2007.

In 2008, GE Healthcare used her song “In Summer” in a television commercial for Healthcare Re-imagined. She has also composed songs for several other Chinese singers, including Jin Haixin, Qin Hailu and An Youqi.
