Shenzhen Talent Park

Local and expat singers and dancers will give a show of pop songs, Latin dance, Indian dance, samba dance, Chinese ethnic dances and Sichuan opera Saturday afternoon. The organizers may cancel the show if it is raining.

Face-changing is an ancient Chinese dramatic art that is part of the Sichuan opera. Performers wear brightly colored costumes and masks and change from one face to another almost instantaneously with the swipe of a fan, a movement of the head, or wave of the hand.

Time: 3-4:30 p.m., April 27

Venue: Tide Square, Shenzhen Talent Park, Nanshan District (南山区深圳人才公园潮汐广场)

Metro: Line 2 to Dengliang Station (登良站), Exit C

‘Cirque: Ecotone/40˚’ by Vincent Warin

Vincent Warin helped bring BMX (bicycle motocross) to art, dance, circus and theater. The creations he develops with Cie 3.6/3.4 are at the intersection of these disciplines: BMX, music and these new forms of circus and dance. The mixture of the practice of this sport exercised at high level, confronted with an aesthetic and a poetic space are among the stakes of his artistic approach.

Time: 11 a.m., 3 p.m., April 27

Venue: Coastal Terrace, Sea World Culture and Arts Center, Shekou, Nanshan District (南山区蛇口海上世界文化艺术中心海景露台)

Metro: Line 2 to Sea World Station (海上世界站), Exit A(SD News)
