AROUND 50 to 80 jewelry brands from cities along the Belt and Road were invited to build a Belt and Road jewelry-related industry production base to promote the global jewelry businesses.

Shenzhen Jewelry Museum, located at the third and fourth floor of Gold Plaza, opened with design works by masters in the modern jewelry field Saturday for trial operation.

Other relevant activities such as a jewelry forum, an exhibition of jewelry designs and a jewelry market were held at C33 Innovation Industry Park in Shuibei.

International Art Design Center

The International Art Design Center (Luohu District) organized one special event and 10 other activities to salute the 70th anniversary of the PRC’s founding.

The activities were centered on three aspects, namely cultural businesses, cultural innovation and cultural experience.

Artworks by eminent designers from countries including the United States, Italy, Spain and Iran, and design works of Italian household brands were also presented.

Sungang Art and Craft City

An experience zone was set up at Sugang Art and Craft City for a drinking tradition belonging to the Tujia ethnic minority from Enshi, Hubei Province. The custom, in which people drop the bowl that holds the alcohol after they finished drinking it, is considered a sign of joyfulness.

Additionally, a video competition, a DIY ukulele-making activity and other exciting events were held during the event.

Shenzhen Curio World

With the purpose of spreading cultures and the inheritance of art skills, Shenzhen Curio World not only organized several special exhibitions featuring stones from Yushan and the history of China’s porcelain capital, Jingdezhen in Jiangxi Province, but also integrated the topics into different activities. For example, a TV program about treasure hunts, developed by Shanxi Satellite Television, filmed an episode at Shenzhen Curio World during the ICIF.

SZ National Cartoon and

Animation Industry Base

The Shenzhen National Cartoon and Animation Industry Base created a carnival for cartoon and animation lovers by organizing a variety of interactive activities.

In the brand hall, items from popular cartoons such as “Egg Project” and “Police Car Union” were exhibited. There was also an arcade and a VR and AR experience zone, which offered visitors the chance to enjoy new games and expereince advanced technologies firsthand. For young kids, this subvenue provided an especially engaging playing field. Moreover, a slew of exquisite and creative animation products were also on display and available for sale.

ZhiZheng Art Museum

One of the biggest private museums in China, ZhiZheng Art Museum this year brought 20 art pieces that best represent the classic characteristics of Dunhuang culture from Gansu Province.

Additionally, a total of 21 classics by Van Gogh authorized by eight world-known museums, including the Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan Museum of Art, are to be presented at an art hall in China Resources Building on May 28. (Wang Jingli)
