A RESTAURANT in Mexico is offering free chicken wings to any customers who use Huawei phones, just days after the United States banned the tech giant.

The restaurant told its customers: “We understand your pain.”

The free wings are being dished out at the Alitas Americas restaurant, which is located in the city of Ecatepec in the central Mexican state of Mexico.

The offer read: “Because we understand your pain, free wings! Show us your Huawei and have a free order when you buy a meal.”

The company also added on social media: “We are with you! Free chicken wings for Huawei users! From Thursday to Sunday, 6 p.m. to 1 p.m., come visit us or order a delivery to your house and try the 21 delicious flavors.”

The tempting deal has been popular with social media users, having had over 1,600 comments and 800 shares.

One person said: “Let’s go there, we should make the most of our mobile phones.”
