SZU ranks 53rd for alumni associations
    2019-05-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

GRADUATES from Shenzhen University are making their alma mater proud again. Among 891 universities in China, Shenzhen University ranks 53rd this year in terms of the influence of its alumni associations, according to the latest list released by Cuaa.Net, a website that ranks alumni associations in China each year.

More good news for Shenzhen University is that it ranks 24th among all comprehensive universities in China and third in Guangdong Province, following Sun Yat-sen University and South China University of Technology, both based in Guangzhou.

The rankings released May 22 showed that Tsinghua and Peking universities in Beijing, as well as Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, take the top three places for best alumni associations.

The list is compiled based on 10 authoritative rankings of universities from all around the world including the QS in the United Kingdom and USNews in the United States among others.

Shenzhen University is honored as “the university that sees fastest improvement” on the Chinese mainland for its swift ascent up various lists that rank worldwide universities.

For instance, Shenzhen University ranked 29th among all universities on the Chinese mainland in a list released by the British Times Higher Education World University Ranking (THE) in February this year. This month, the university was ranked 28th among all Asian universities in another THE list. (Zhang Qian)
