Police aide jailed

A POLICE aide officer in Dapeng was jailed one year for helping criminals evade punishment, according to a report in the Southern Metropolis Daily, quoting a court source.

In February 2018, the aide officer Chen Guangwen leaked information about an upcoming police action to a criminal ring one day in advance.

Chen was detained in August and was later transferred to the procuratorate for prosecution.

Bicycle lanes

A BICYCLE lane linking northern Nanshan District and Longhua District is in the works, according to a plan by Shenzhen’s transport bureau.

The bicycle lane will run along Liuxian Boulevard and link Minzhi in Longhua, Shenzhen University City in Xili and Dasha River Ecological Corridor.

By the end of 2020, Shenzhen will complete the construction of at least 800 bicycle lanes.
