Enrollment test

A WRITTEN test to enroll professionals for 458 managerial and technical posts on government-sponsored institutions will be held Sunday.

A total of 45,000 people have signed up for the examination and they can print the examination certificates between yesterday and tomorrow on the website of the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, http://hrss.sz.gov.cn/szksy.

Deals signed

JIANGXI Province signed onto 30 projects involving 61.4 billion yuan (US$8.87 billion) at a business promotion meeting in Shenzhen on Monday.

Shenzhen will strengthen cooperation with Jiangxi Pro-vince in technology, industry, trade, tourism and culture.

CPUs in wheelchair

A PHYSICALLY challenged woman was caught by customs officers hiding 898 Intel chips in the battery pack under her wheelchair when crossing the border at Futian Checkpoint recently. The woman, 60, claimed that she was paid 300 yuan to carry the chips across the border.

The CPU chips were estimated at a market value of 1 million yuan.

Man loses control

A MALE passenger with meningitis lost his mind and attempted to take control of a bus.

A video clip from the surveillance camera on the bus shows the passenger standing near the driver, surnamed Xiong, suddenly collapsed. Xiong stopped the bus and called for an ambulance.

The man awoke before the ambulance arrived. He attempted to grab the steering wheel and pull out the key.
