Overpass to link park, checkpoint
    2019-06-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AN overpass will be opened to the public at the end of June to link Shenzhen Bay Park and Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint, cutting the detour between the two places by 1 kilometer, Shenzhen’s transport bureau said on its official WeChat account Monday.

Shenzhen Bay Park and Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint are separated by Wanghai Road, a busy main road connecting with Dongbin Tunnel.

Pedestrians leaving Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint need to walk across vehicle lanes and the construction site of Metro Line 13 to reach Wanghai Road.

If the pedestrians want to go to Shenzhen Bay Park, they need to go all the way down Dongbin Road to reach the park, bureau officials said.

The recently built overpass will solve the detour problem for pedestrians.
