VEHICLES that meet the National V emission standard and are retrofitted to fit the National VI standard will not be licensed, and such a behavior violates relevant provisions on vehicle management of the public security department, according to the city’s environment regulator. Starting July 1, newly licensed vehicles in Shenzhen must meet the National VI emission standard. The new policy applies to vehicles that have yet to apply for a Shenzhen license plate. Vehicles that meet the National V standard or below can still use the roads before further rules are issued. (Zhang Yu) |
