Book Fair

THE first Shenzhen Book Fair will be held at Shenzhen Exhibition and Convention Center from July 19 to 22, exhibiting more than 1 million books of different genres, the fair organizer said.

It will cover 30,000 square meters in Hall 1 in different sections, namedly including a Classic Book section, a Themed Publication section, a Parent-child Reading section, a Creative Articles section, a Comprehensive Readings section and a Marketing section.

The fair will also be held at five subvenues in Luohu, Futian, Nanshan, Bao’an and Longgang districts.

Service hours

SHENZHEN Metro Co. will add more trains during the travel peak hours of Metro lines 2 and 3 on weekends starting from June 29.

The train departure intervals of Line 2 from 8:53 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. on weekends will be shortened to 4 minutes 30 seconds from present 4 minutes 55 seconds.

Train departure intervals of Line 3 will be shortened to 3 minutes 30 seconds, according to the new schedule.

The adjustments are expected to raise the capacity of the two Metro lines by 13.62 percent and 13.8 percent, respectively, on weekends.
