A MAN surnamed Zhao was put under coercive measures by Guizhou police after fabricating alleged child indecency cases in two cities in Guizhou Province, Guizhou Provincial Public Security Department said on its official Weibo account Thursday. Zhao had collected all the photos online and made up the story of “orphanages and kindergartens receiving bribes to provide children for sex,” the authority said. Further investigations are ongoing, An urgent inspection of child welfare institutions and kindergartens in Bijie and Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture found no evidence of child molestation, the civil affairs authority in Guizhou said Thursday morning. The investigation was initiated Wednesday afternoon in response to the online posts by Zhao accusing several kindergartens and orphanages in the two cities of sexually abusing young children. The initial inspection included 15 child welfare institutions and five social welfare organizations providing child care services in the two cities, as well as all private kindergartens in Bijie. Social media posts that children were being forced to provide sexual services and receive hormone injections began circulating on Sina Weibo since Wednesday. (China Daily) |
