FACIAL recognition technologies started being used by real estate registration agencies in Shenzhen on July 1, the Shenzhen Real Estate Registration Center said. The use of the technologies can help eliminate false registrations and reduce risks in property registration.

Arbitration cooperation

SHENZHEN Court of International Arbitration and Hong Kong International Arbitration Center signed a closer cooperation agreement recently to strengthen cooperation in international arbitration.

Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly organize more arbitration-related forums, conferences and lectures, and further their cooperation in recommending arbitrators and the mutual recognition of arbitration rules and mechanisms in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Shekou park

A PARK covering 230,000 square meters will be built in the Dongjiaotou area in Nanshan District after the empty oil depots are dismantled and removed, the Shekou Information Daily reported.

The plan has been approved by the city government, and two oil tanks will remain in their original places as relics, the newspaper said, quoting local political advisers at a meeting.

New ferry service

SHENZHEN Oceanus Group opened a ferry service between Shekou and Dong’ao Island in Zhuhai yesterday.

The ferries depart from Shekou Cruise Homeport at 11:10 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. The trip takes 65-80 minutes and costs 160 yuan (US$23) per person.

Population census

FUTIAN and Bao’an districts have started registration for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots and foreigners living in the districts in the seventh national population census that started July 1.
