Exhibition reveals secrets of amazing animals
    2019-07-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Summer vacation is approaching, and residents looking for entertaining and educational activities for their children may find the “Team Amazing Animals” exhibition worth visiting.

Set to open July 12 and run through Aug. 28, the exhibition will be held by Advent Children’s Museum at MixC World in Nanshan District. With academic support from National Geographic Learning in the United States, the exhibition is designed specifically for children aged 3-12, aiming to provide a friendly environment for them in contrast to some complicated exhibitions for adult visitors. The exhibition encourages kids to delve into the charms of fun learning, a new education mode advocated by Advent Children’s Museum.

Carefully developed and prepared by education scholars from world-renowned universities, such as the University of Hong Kong, Brown University, Peking University and Duke University, the event will create an unforgettable learning experience through beneficial games for children. With AR and VR technology, children and their parents can enjoy motion-sensing games involving interaction with wild animals like penguins, polar bears and camels. Through these games, visitors can immerse themselves in forests, deserts, glaciers and oceans while becoming the heroes of animal rescue movies.

National Geographic Learning is a program based on real stories from the “National Geographic” series, and the Exploring Science section of the program is from a required course in most elementary schools in California. Through the digital learning programs and classroom resources, the exhibition provides the excitement and joy of learning that “National Geographic” explorers, scientists, writers and photographers have experienced. The unique and authentic U.S. museum education is integrated with the concept of a children’s museum for families to enjoy.
