Innovation center set up
    2019-07-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A SINO-ITALIAN innovation center was inaugurated in Guangming District during a high-tech forum held in the district between Friday and Saturday, according to the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.

Co-established by Omnia Services Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Gaoke Group and Shenzhen Zhuoyi Technology Development Co. Ltd., the center is a comprehensive international innovation service platform that aims to strengthen cooperation in technological innovation between China and Italy.

Wang Lixin, deputy mayor of Shenzhen, and Lucia Pasqualini, consul general of Italy in Guangzhou, attended the center’s launch ceremony.

According to Wang, the establishment of the center will build a better platform for long-term collaboration between the two sides.

Wang hopes that by gathering innovative resources from around the world, the district will be able to turn Guangming Science Town into an important carrier that supports innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Projects like a Sino-Italian magnetic new materials research lab and a 5G cloud computing lab were also launched at the forum.

Additionally, Omnia Services inked a deal with Zhuoyi to promote industrial connection. Gaoke reached a cooperation agreement with the College of Management as well as the College of Life Sciences and Oceanography of Shenzhen University to create an entrepreneurship base. (Liu Wenjin)
