Fire extra damage

FIREFIGHTERS scratched some cars parked in restricted areas and firefighting passages as they had to clear their way to put out a fire at Songquan Housing Estate in Luohu District on July 14 .

The housing estate, built three decades ago, has no underground parking and a serious shortage of parking spaces.

The occupants blamed the property management for its inaction and negligence, but the manager denied the accusation.

Heat continues

THE hot weather continues due to subtropical high pressure and the outer downward air current of Typhoon Danas, the fifth of the year, which has formed east of the Philippines.

It is approaching the coast of Taiwan or Fujian and was 1,310 kilometers southeast of Shenzhen as of 2 p.m. Tuesday, but the chance it will affect the city is slim.

Urban rejuvenation

THE occupants of Nanhua Village, Futian District, will join a centralized contract signing with the developer July 21 for the relocation and rejuvenation of the village.

The village was built in 1985 as the city’s first batch of welfare housing for government employees and teachers. Located south of Binhe Road and north of the Shenzhen River, it consists of 70 buildings covering 161,900 square meters.
