TEN sci-tech applications, which focus on fintech, medical science and technology, and smart city, were announced by Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. at a thematic conference held in Shenzhen on Friday, the Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

Based on three core technologies, namely artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and blockchain, Ping An strives to apply the sci-tech applications to people’s daily life and meet users’ needs in a comprehensive way.

The 10 applications are available for car insurance claim settlement, intelligent voice service, small and micro enterprise credit, medical diagnosis and treatment, intelligent image screening, disease prevention and control, civic service, poverty alleviation, transportation and trade.

Chen Xinying, co-CEO of Ping An Insurance, revealed at the conference that Ping An has developed into a fintech enterprise with 560 million Internet users, 191 million financial customers and a market value of over a trillion yuan (US$145.32 billion).  (Zhang Yu)
