A CONFERENCE that reviewed the work of Bao’an District’s grid management system in the first half of 2019 was held Friday afternoon. Urban grid management is a system that divides urban areas into small grids according to certain standards in order to facilitate management and eliminate safety hazards in each subdivided urban area. According to the conference, the district improved the data collection system for grid management in the first half of 2019. The collected data include basic demographic and criminal data in Bao’an. The conference also mapped out strategic plans for the development of the system for the second half of the year. The public security department will render support for the grid management system, and safety inspectors will help the police with public security work, according to the Bao’an Daily. Moreover, the system will also incorporate spatial geographical information to improve data visualization and assist with decision-making. (Liu Wenjin) |
