Fire kills 2 TWO people were killed and one injured yesterday after a fire broke out inside a chemical factory in the city of Huludao, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province, local authorities said. The fire started at around 11 a.m. in a workshop of Huludao Tianqi Shengye Chemical Co. Ltd., according to the local publicity department. Two people seriously injured in the accident died after medical efforts failed and the third is being treated in a hospital. The individuals in charge of the factory have been held by police. Further investigation is under way. High temperatures BEIJING’S observatory yesterday issued a yellow alert for high temperatures over the next three days. The city issued a blue alert Tuesday morning, forecasting two days of temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius. The daily high is forecast to continue to be above 35 degrees Celsius in most parts of Beijing from today to Saturday, according to the observatory. |
