Metro progress

TWO north-south Metro lines will become operational next June. Metro Line 6 will link Shenzhen North Railway Station with Guangming, while Line 10 will link Futian Checkpoint with Pinghu in Longgang District.

The power supply for Line 6 has passed inspections, and decoration of the public areas along the line will start before the end of July. The tunnel project for Line 10 has been completed.

Dog owner fined

A DOG owner in Bantian Subdistrict was fined 500 yuan (US$72.73) for not using a leash while walking her dog recently.

The law enforcement unit has corrected 27 uncivilized behaviors in dog raising and imposed 13,500 yuan in fines on the behaviors since May, when the city’s dog raising provision was implemented.

Illegal parking fines

SHENZHEN traffic police will impose fines of up to 2,000 yuan (US$290) on violatiors who park their vehicles on the 186 newly added, heavy traffic road sections, according to a notice released recently.

The new road sections include: Fujing Road and Xiangzhang Road in Futian District, Xianhu Road and Panshan Road in Luohu District, and Hangkong Road and Yunchang Road in Bao’an District.
