9 firms punished for back wages, forced OT
    2019-07-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

NINE companies have been exposed for violations of labor contracts, such as owing back wages and forcing overtime (OT) work, according to a quarterly report released by Shenzhen’s human resources and social security bureau Wednesday.

Among the employers, Shenzhen Vsun Mobile Technologies Co. was referred to police for further investigation for rejecting to pay 830,000 yuan (US$120,639) in back wages to 73 employees.

Between April and June, six of the companies were punished for back wages, while three others were penalized for forcing employees to work overtime.

Shenzhen Huazhi Intelligent Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Dizunmei Furniture Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Juyuanxing Electronic Technologies Co., Shenzhen Weicai Metal Products Co. and Shenzhen Xunbao Technologies were given administrative punishments for owing a total of 2.28 million yuan to employees.

Shenzhen Avic Security Service Co. and two other companies were punished for collecting deposits from employees and forcing employees to work overtime. The bureau did not specify the deposits the employees were forced to pay.  (Liu Xingzi)
