Huangmugang has new traffic arrangements
    2019-07-29  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A NEW traffic organization measure was implemented Saturday to give way to the construction of Huangmugang Comprehensive Transportation Hub, sources from the city’s rail construction office said.

A temporary steel bridge has been put in place for south-north vehicles turning from Huafu Road and Nigang Road West.

The new traffic organization measures include the construction of a new 2-km road, renovation of a footbridge and its supporting system, and adjustments to vehicle and pedestrian routes and the locations of nearby bus stops.

As the construction site is near Shenzhen No. 2 People’s Hospital, the Junior Department of Shenzhen Experimental School, residential areas and enterprises, the project’s contractor has adopted various ways to strengthen traffic guidance, such as the addition of driving signs on the road sections, temporary pedestrian roads and traffic maps at subway exits and bus stops.

Additionally, the project’s contractor has added temporary shortcuts to key venues around Huangmugang. The completion of the transportation hub will realize the seamless connection between rail transit and other means of transport, the office said.  (Zhou Ting)
