Subsidies for interns

ELIGIBLE students will receive a monthly living allowance of 650 yuan (US$94) for taking internships starting in August.

The employers are required to pay at least 80 percent of the salaries for the posts that the interns are working, according to a notice issued by the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on the subsidies for internships for students at vocational schools.

The employers are not allowed to collect deposits from interns or any other fees in different forms or for different excuses.

Community park

A SMALL community park jointly built by residents in the neighborhood under the guidance of horticulturists was opened in Yuanling Community in Futian District recently.

Five families were awarded for participating in the construction of the park.
