A fourth prototype of China’s large passenger jet C919 takes off in its maiden test flight at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on Thursday morning. The domestic jet took off at 5:32 a.m. and the flight lasted around 1 hour and 25 minutes. The fourth prototype is mainly undertaking tests covering the avionics system, takeoff and landing performances, automatic flight system, and performance in icy conditions. So far, four C919 prototypes have completed their maiden flights, while two more prototypes are scheduled to have their first flights later in the second half of 2019, according to the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China.China News Service
