Comic exhibition held

THE “Y-COMIC-X?” exhibition was held at Shekou Sea World Culture and Arts Center with over 400 comic works of 85 Chinese cartoonists and 73 precious manuscripts presented.

A collection of outstanding Chinese animations was exhibited, including four famous children’s illustrations.

The exhibition will end Sept. 30.

100m QR-code users

THE users of Tencent’s QR code payment service for Metro services in China hit 100 million Tuesday, with Shenzhen citizens ranking No. 1 for their use of the service.

The service has been used in more than 120 cities in China, providing a smart travel experience that requires only 0.2 seconds for verification.

In Shenzhen, a turnstile at a Metro station set the record with 7,097 daily payments via QR code.

The service will be put into use in Hong Kong by 2021.
