SHENZHEN Human Resources and Social Security Bureau upgraded its online reservation system Thursday enabling residents to handle their business at any service outlet across the city.

Enterprises and individuals covered by social insurance can go to any of the 35 service stations at the city’s administrative service halls in each district and new area, and 27 service offices at subdistrict administrative service halls for 52 social insurance-related businesses after making reservations.

Enterprises and individuals can make reservations through http://hrss.sz.gov.cn, the official website of the bureau, and its WeChat account “深圳社保.”

To develop its intelligent service system, the bureau has built a virtual service hall through which 20 service items in high demand can be processed online. The online service cuts the work load at counters by 30 percent.

At present, 54 service items for enterprises and 80 items for individuals can be handled at the virtual service hall. The bureau’s WeChat account can process 46 service items and DIY service terminals offer services for 43 items.
