THE municipal government has given Bao’an District the go-ahead to pilot the standardization of social credit, the Bao’an Daily reported. A city-level meeting that focused on sharing experiences in building a social credit system and pushing the work to a new level was held in the district Aug. 20. Wang Lide, deputy Party chief of Bao’an District, introduced the preliminary achievements of the district in building a social credit system at the meeting. It was reported that Bao’an started the construction of a social credit system in 2016 following the introduction of an implementation plan released by the district government. Later on, Bao’an took the lead in establishing a professional credit institution and a public credit information platform, and collecting credit data in the city, as well as promoting the standardization of social credit in the country. According to the Daily, so far, there are 748 public credit information catalogues in Bao’an District, including 605 corporate catalogues and 143 individual catalogues. The district has also signed a memorandum of cooperation with 41 local institutions on jointly punishing dishonest debtors, and formulating 22 disciplinary measures and 112 restriction items.
