Road closure

THE eastbound section of Buxin Road to Yanhe Road North will be closed between 7 p.m. today and tomorrow and 7 a.m. of the next day to give way to the construction of Donghu Flyover of Danping Expressway.

Drivers to Yanhe Road North are advised to use Aiguo, Dongxiao, Taian or Taining roads.

Border-crossing kids

SHENZHEN checkpoints witnessed 43,000 children crossing the border to study in Hong Kong on Monday, the first day of the new school year.

The children possess Hong Kong permanent residency permits but live in Shenzhen with their parents. They have to cross the border to study in Hong Kong every day.

The checkpoints in Luohu, Futian, Nanshan and Yantian have designated special lanes for children crossing the border.
