AN awards ceremony for model enterprises in the real economy in Bao’an District, as well as a new product and new technology conference, was held in the District Government Auditorium on Friday.

At the ceremony, more than 50 model enterprises in the real economy received awards, and preferential policies for enterprises that include up to 10 million yuan (US$1.39 million) in rewards were released. The project for the exhibition center for new technology and products in the Greater Bay Area was also unveiled at the ceremony.

District Party chief Yao Ren said that the perseverance, devotion and development of a wide range of enterprises and entrepreneurs have contributed to Bao’an’s success today. The district will persist in putting industry and enterprises as the top priority and strongly supporting enterprises and entrepreneurs. Bao’an will work together with Qianhai to construct a new urban center for Shenzhen, which is expected to become a top world city according to the blueprint for building a pilot demonstration area.

Wang Wei, board member of Sunwoda Electronic Co. Ltd., said that he was encouraged by the series of preferential policies issued in the meeting, which will enable him to invest more on technological innovation and upgrading. Sunwoda Electronic Co. Ltd. was awarded as a real-economy model enterprise at the meeting.

Luo Fenglian, an executive with Shenzhen Stanley Electric Co. Ltd., said that she could feel the unprecedented support for private enterprises from the district. She will try to bring more investment to Bao’an if the parent company in Japan would like to expand the market in the future.

Huang Long, the co-founder of Ioranges Co. Ltd., a high-tech enterprise, said that he appreciates that Bao’an District is giving such strong support to enterprises, because strengthening company operations is the job of entrepreneurs.  (Chen Siqi)
