Quality and price

THE 300 business outlets at the Shenzhen airport charge the same prices for the same products sold in the rest of the city, a business and retail summit held at the Shenzhen airport announced.

Following the requirements by China Civil Aviation Administration in March, the Shenzhen airport’s management set price restrictions on the services and products of vendors stationed in the terminal, and also introduced chain brands to ensure quality.

QR code for flights

PASSENGERS can pass through security checks and board flights without their ID cards, according to a release on the Shenzhen government website.

Instead, they can use a Mini Program to generate a secure QR code to verify their identities after entering their personal information and passing a facial recognition check. With the QR code, they can go through security checks and check in for flights at designated lanes and counters within 15 days.

Landing point

CONSTRUCTION will start on an expressway linking Guangzhou and Zhongshan on the west bank of the Pearl River in 2020. Upon completion in 2024, it will be connected with Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, according to a release on the official website of Guangzhou Transportation Investment Group, which is seeking public opinion on the environmental impact.

The 21 billion yuan (US$3 billion) project will start south of Nansha and end to the west of Zhongshan.
