THE paper travel permits to Hong Kong and Macao have been officially invalid starting from Sept. 13 and have been fully replaced by travel permit cards, which are convenient.

When applying for the travel permit cards through DIY dispensers, applicants are reminded to leave their finger prints.

Improved service

THE service counters at the city’s administrative halls can accept the application materials and allow the applicants to make up the missing materials for applications within up to 20 days, according to the new rule that will take effect starting Oct. 1. The new measure is aimed at reducing unnecessary visits to government service counters.
