Industrial upgrading achieved at companies
    2019-09-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SEVERAL Bao’an companies have been cited as examples of how to contribute to the city’s industrial innovation by upgrading traditional industries in a series of articles published recently in the Economic Daily.

One story introduced how Bao’an has improved the core competitiveness of companies by promoting industrial technologies. Two companies, namely Shenzhen Sunway Communication Co. Ltd. and Shenzhen YUTO Packaging Technology Co. Ltd. (YUTO Tech), have been mentioned as examples to show how the improvement has helped them raise their productivity by 59 percent and 22 percent, respectively.

Bao’an has formed a comprehensive modern industrial system featuring strategic emerging industries, such as the electronic information industry and equipment manufacturing industry, as well as high-end traditional industries and the service industry.

There are 3,941 national-level high-tech enterprises in Bao’an, ranking it first among districts and counties in Guangdong. Bao’an’s GDP reached 361.2 billion yuan (US$51 billion) last year, with its comprehensive strength ranking eighth among the top 100 districts in the country.

The article also reported on Han’s Laser being in the first batch of national intelligent manufacturing pilot units, and about how it has been noticed for its high-quality development through continuous innovation.

One story covered Arashi Vision Co. Ltd., known for its brand Insta360. Its Insta360 camera has occupied the highest share of the global panoramic camera market for the past four years. Its sales grew more than tenfold from 2016 to 2018. At present, their products have been sold to more than 3,500 stores in over 158 countries and regions around the world.

All of the achievements made by these companies are the epitome of Bao’an’s determination to promote the transformation and upgrading of industries.

Bao’an issued a series of measures to promote the stable development of industries at a meeting held recently, which once again demonstrated the district’s aim to support enterprises and speed up industrial upgrading.
