Realize your dreams at ‘Studio Ghibli’s Animation’
    2019-09-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The “Studio Ghibli’s Animation” exhibition in Hong Kong is presenting ginormous 3-D sets and installations and re-creating iconic scenes from the cinematic masterpieces of directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki. The classic selection includes “My Neighbor Totoro,” “Castle in the Sky,” “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” “Porco Rosso,” “Pom Poko,” “Princess Mononoke,” “Spirited Away” and “Howl’s Moving Castle.”

The exhibition features meticulous sets and installations with the original designs by Studio Ghibli themselves. Professionals were flown in from Japan to supervise the production process; they even hand-painted the walls and floor with murals. The lighting, video, sound and optical illusion effects combine to create a stunning and captivating atmosphere in each scene. Visitors can also interact with their favorite characters, be part of the movies and capture their touching memories in pictures once again.

Studio Ghibli’s cinematic worlds tap into kids’ wildest imaginations while touching the souls of adults with their heartfelt reflections. They are time-defying classics that keep inspiring generations. In this time-transcending Ghibli rendezvous, visitors can also find Hong Kong-exclusive Ghibli merchandise.
