A visitor enjoys an oracle exhibition that opened at the National Museum of China in Beijing yesterday. The museum is for the first time holding a large-scale exhibition on its oracle bone collections to mark the 120th anniversary of the discovery of oracle bone inscriptions. The exhibition displays nearly 190 oracle bones, bronze works, jade and books. Jiaguwen, or oracle bone inscriptions, are an ancient Chinese language named for its inscriptions on tortoise shells and animal bones.
