The death toll has risen to five in the car crash in the city Thursday, which also left nine people injured, local authorities said. A 63-year-old driver surnamed Chen ran a red light at about 9:21 a.m. at the intersection of Daduhe Road and Nujiang Road, hitting a taxi and an electric bicycle, according to the latest notification released by the public security bureau of Putuo District.
