BAO’AN distributed two documents to propel the future development of Bao’an’s convention and exhibition industry Oct. 31. This came as the district hosted Bao’an Industry Development Expo (B-Expo) and Shenzhen International Electronic Equipment Industry Expo (EeIE), which concluded Nov. 6. The document issued by Bao’an District Government points out four paths of development for Bao’an’s convention and exhibition industry, namely speeding up to become a cluster area of the Shenzhen convention and exhibition industry, accelerating the formation of high-end brands in the Shenzhen convention and exhibition industry, integrating resources to stimulate the market and establishing the management and service mechanism of the industry. B-Expo and EeIE were held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center (Shenzhen World). The Greater Bay Area Industrial Expo will also be held from Nov. 26-29. The new center also strives to be the permanent hosting location for the China Marine Economy Expo. According to the measures, more restaurants with international flavors and boutique hotels will be set up near the new exhibition and convention center. High-end spacious shopping complexes are also planned near the center. Exhibitions from home and abroad, chambers of commerce and industry associations should be positively introduced to Shenzhen World. Another document published by the General Office of Bao’an District Government gives targeted measures to support Bao’an’s convention and exhibition industry. The measures are formulated for several aspects, including introducing exhibitions, cultivating enterprises, and developing the industrial cluster and service measures. (Chen Siqi) |
