Sentient Beings’

“Sentient Beings — An Immersive Exhibition Retelling of Oriental Aesthetics” translates ancient wisdom into modern expressions by new media, creating an immersive journey in which people can meet sentient beings through sensory experience.

Dates: Until Dec. 13

Female artists’ paintings

An exhibition examining the life and paintings of Chinese artist and revolutionist He Xiangning (1878-1972) is being held until Feb. 16, 2020. Chinese-American Yu Lanyin and Beijinger Lin Jiangdong are also exhibiting their ocean-themed paintings at the “Ocean! Ocean!” exhibition until Nov. 24.

Movie music

Two concerts featuring movie music will be held by Beijing Phihlarmonic Wind and String Orchestra’s Chamber Music Orchestra. Saturday’s program will be scores from Japanese animated movies and Sunday’s repertoire will be songs from Hollywood movies, such as “La La Land,” “Titanic” and “Top Gun.”

Time: 7:30 p.m., Nov. 16-17

‘Titanicdance’

“Titanicdance,” the hugely successful Irish dance musical extravaganza, will journey across the world to Shenzhen. It tells a heart-gripping love story as the great ship makes its maiden voyage across the Atlantic in 1912.

Time: 8 p.m., Nov. 15-16

Tickets: 100-880 yuan

Venue: Shenzhen Grand Theater, Luohu District (罗湖区深圳大剧院)

Children’s chorus

Children’s choir Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc from France will sing popular songs at a concert.
