A light rail train runs in South China’s Macao Special Administrative Region yesterday. The Taipa Line of Macao Light Rail Transit opened to the public yesterday. The line, the first rail in the SAR, is about 9.3 km long and has 11 stations, covering main residential communities in Taipa city center, Taipa old village and tourist areas. It links the three major sea, land and air ports of Macao. It will be free of charge for residents until Dec. 31, according to the local government. Xinhua |
