A man runs in an ice and snow marathon in China’s “pole of cold” — Genhe City of North China’s Inner Mongolia — yesterday. The 2019 China Cold Pole Marathon brought nearly 1,500 runners from home and abroad to experience running in temperatures of minus 40 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature ever recorded in Genhe, known as the coldest city in China, was minus 58 degrees Celsius.Xinhua |
