SHENZHEN North Railway Station has added high-speed trains to Hefei City in Anhui Province and Beihai City in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the new national railway operation schedule that took effect yesterday.
The new schedule was made to satisfy the needs of travelers during the Spring Festival holiday travel period, which will begin Jan. 10.
On the new schedule, the railway station will operate 241 pairs of trains on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, 145.5 pairs of trains on the Hangzhou-Shenzhen rail and 20 trains on the Meizhou-Shantou rail. The section between Futian Station and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station will operate 127 pairs.
Shenzhen Railway Station will also replace express trains to Beijing Station with bullet trains.
The Shenzhen station will operate a maximum of 113 pairs of trains a day, and Shenzhen East Station will operate 15 pairs of trains.
Trains Z107/108 between Shenzhen and Beijing were halted starting from yesterday. They have been replaced by D727/D728. D728 leaves Shenzhen at 2:42 p.m., and the trip takes 21 hours 37 minutes. Train D727 leaves Beijing at 7:59 p.m. and arrives in Shenzhen at 5:10 p.m., the following day.
Trains K1092/3 and K1094/1 between Shenzhen and Chengdu were halted Friday and replaced by Z332/3 on Sunday. It leaves Shenzhen at 2:30 p.m. from Shenzhen East Station and arrives at Chengdu East Station at 9:29 p.m., the following day. The whole trip takes 30 hours and 59 minutes, nine hours shorter than K1092/3. Train Z334/1 leaves Chengdu at 10:35 p.m. and arrives in Shenzhen at 6:02 a.m., three days later.
