Metro ridership record THE ridership of the Shenzhen Metro service hit a new daily record on New Year’s Eve at 7.09 million Tuesday, marking its first time surpassing the 7 million-rider threshold, statistics from Shenzhen Metro Group showed. Metro Line 1 was the busiest with 1.43 million trips, while the ridership on both Line 3 and Line 5 also exceeded 1 million. Dump truck accident THERE have been 35 deaths in 31 accidents caused by dump trucks and mixer trucks so far this year, according to statistics released by the traffic police. The number of accidents and death toll represent decreases of 27.91 percent and 23.91 percent year on year, respectively.
