Judicial environment ‘important for business’
    2020-01-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

DEPUTIES of the Bao’an delegation reached a consensus that the judicial environment is essential to the city’s business environment during a panel meeting to deliberate on the work report of the Municipal Intermediate People’s Court and Municipal People’s Procuratorate on Saturday.

“The judicial environment is the most important part when it comes to business environment, while the quality of judicial services is an essential part of the judicial environment,” said Ai Xuefeng, the city’s vice mayor.

Ai suggested that courts and procuratorates strengthen the training for judges and prosecutors to improve staff quality.

Yao Ren, Party chief of Bao’an District, spoke highly of the report on the work of the Municipal Intermediate People’s Court and the Municipal Procuratorate during the meeting.

Many cases handled by Bao’an are included in the report, which demonstrates a recognition of Bao’an’s judicial works.

Bao’an issued the city’s first habeas corpus and established a joint working mechanism to protect women and children’s rights. The two moves have been included in the report and suggested to be spread to the whole city.

Yao welcomed an intellectual property court, bankruptcy court and financial court to settle in Bao’an in order to provide better services for companies. Yao also suggested further judicial protection for private enterprises to improve its business environment.

Guo Ziping, head of the District Government, also suggested that it is important to introduce an intellectual property court, bankruptcy court, financial court and other law institutions to Bao’an. Guo said Bao’an will provide supports to businesses.

Zhang Zhibiao, head of the standing committee of Bao’an District People’s Congress, called for law education for the monitors by letting the rule of law enter the campus to prevent and reduce minor crimes.  (Wang Jingli)
