Footbridge project OK’d for Lianhua Hill Park
    2020-01-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE project to build a footbridge at the west gate of Futian District’s Lianhua Hill Park was approved recently after 13 years of planning, according to Futian Administration of Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau and Transport Bureau.

The plan to build the footbridge was proposed in 2007. However, it didn’t come to fruition until this year.

Elders and children living along Xinzhou Road and Shangbao Road must cross roads busy with vehicles in order to walk to Lianhua Hill Park, which is quite dangerous.

The footbridge will connect Lianhua Hill Park with Xinzhou and Shangbao roads. Once it is finished, citizens will enjoy a great convenience. “Bus stations set up on the two sides of Xinzhou Road have turned out to be mere decoration, because crossing between the two bus stations is inconvenient,” a resident surnamed Wang said. Thus, it’s necessary to build a footbridge.

The landscape design has been completed and its detailed design is in progress, according to a statement from Shenzhen Municipal Transport Bureau.
