Service suspension

HI-TECH Park Station on Shenzhen Metro’s Line 1 will be closed between Jan. 25 and 30 to give way to installing steel stairs, the operator said recently.

A bus service will be arranged at Shenda Station, Hi-Tech Park Station and Baishizhou Station to transport riders.

Toll exemption

EXPRESSWAYS in Shenzhen are going toll-free for passenger cars with fewer than seven seats during the Spring Festival holiday from Jan. 24 to 30, Shenzhen Expressway Co. Ltd. said Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Shenzhen police will suspend restrictions on nonlocally registered vehicles during the Spring Festival travel rush period between Jan. 18 and Feb. 8.

The city’s traffic regulation requires nonlocally registered vehicles to run on designated roads during rush hours. The rule will be resumed Feb. 9.

Woman saved

A WOMAN surnamed Wu who fell from the 19th floor of a building and suffered multiple bone fractures was saved by a joint effort of the doctors at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital.

She is now in stable condition following treatment and on her way to recovering.

Passenger flow control

IN a move to control passenger flow, Shenzhen Railway Station will implement a measure to allow passengers to enter the waiting halls in batches.

The waiting halls will only be open to passengers whose trains will depart in four hours’ time.

Shenzhen Railway Station reminded passengers to double check their departure times and arrive at the station two hours prior to departure.
