Warming up for the cold journey
    2020-01-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Lunar New Year is one week away. To cope with the annual homecoming of epic proportions during chunyun — the 40-day period when Chinese people head home to celebrate the Spring Festival with their families — which began Jan. 10 and will end Feb. 18, Shenzhen is sparing no effort to ensure passengers a safe, orderly and warm journey home. Shenzhen is expected to handle 17.6 million passenger trips during the period, an increase of 2.3 percent compared to last year, according to official statistics. Across the country, some 3 billion trips are expected to be made.
